Music for Autism provides an autistic-friendly environment for children to come together and share an appreciation of music. Music brings people together. It can lift the spirit. Music affects mood and environment.

According to Humana music therapy can be used to improve overall physical rehabilitation, facilitate movement, increase motivation to engage in treatment, offer emotional support for the person and their family and provide an outlet to express feelings.

Music therapy benefits those with mental health needs, development and learning disabilities, people with Alzheimer’s disease, brain injuries, physical disabilities, and acute or chronic pain sufferers. It is the use of music by a qualified music therapist to address a person’s physical, emotional, cognitive or social needs.

This is just one of the many ways we can be involved in helping those with Autism.
